Music, Fun and Supporting a Great Cause March 15, 2019 – Posted in: bazaar, encinitas, fundraiser, market
If you were at the Encinitas Bazaar last weekend you would have come across merchants selling all kinds of wonderful products, and the amazing volunteers from the Shine A Light organization who had organized a fundraiser to be held at the market.
The Shine A Light organization raises awareness and raises funds to stop sex trafficking which is a trade affecting victims with an average age of 11 – 14 years and has now surpassed the illegal sale of arms. You can learn more about the great work these volunteers are doing at their website, iwillshinealight.org.
Though serious in nature, the event organizers wanted everyone to have a good time, and organized chair massages, a raffle with prizes donated by the Encinitas Bazaar merchants, food and even live music by the talented duo, Viatsa.
Viatsa members Tatiana Berindei and Daniel Plane entertained shoppers and merchants in the afternoon with Tatiana singing and playing guitar, and Daniel playing the cello. Their American folk and blues sound could be heard throughout the market as people shopped, and children (and one energetic lady) danced! Learn more about Viatsa’s music at viatsamusic.com.
Stop by the Encinitas Bazaar this weekend, open between 9am and 5pm and see what new things are in store!
